  • Motherhood and Apple Pie may be the usual calls issuing from bodies such as this for these occasions; but the proof is in the pudding — and not many outside this process are expecting anything more than rubber-stamp approval of what has clearly already been decided by an unaccountable elite: which apparently sees its own narrow interests as being identical with those of the cuban workers and farmers. But at least this pudding will be taste-tested by at least February 2011.
