Cuba asks US to take “The First Step”

HAVANA TIMES, Jan. 24.- Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque said Friday that the United States should take “the first step” on the road to improved bilateral relations, reported IPS. In statements to the press at a meeting of the Non Aligned Movement in Guatemala, the official said Cuban authorities are ready to sit down at a table and “talk in a civilized manner” but that the initiative for such an encounter should come from the US. “The ball is in their court,” he said.

  • I will hate to see that country back to the pre-revolutionary status. Change is best when you keep what works in the past, and what work in the present. Most Latin-american countries change everything with every change of flag. I am wondering what are their plan for change?
