Cuba Musicians Win 4 Latin Grammies

HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 12 — Leo Brower, Arturo Sandoval, Chucho Valdes and Alex Cuba were the four Cubans who won Latin Grammy awards on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Brower and Valdes live in Cuba, Sandoval in the United States and Alex Cuba in Canada.

Brower and Amado del Rosario won the award for Best Classical Album with “Integral cuarteto de cuerda” shared with “Vital” by Fernando Otero.

Sandoval won Best Instrumental Album for “A time for Love”.

Chucho Valdes accompanied singer Concha Buika (Spain) on the album “El ultimo trago” which won Best Traditional Tropical Album.

Alex Cuba was the winner for Best New Artist.
