Cuba Reports New Swine Flu Cases

HAVANA TIMES, June 26 – Cuban authorities reported today the detection of 31 new cases of the AH1N1 virus on the island. To date, a total of 46 persons have been diagnosed with that disease in Cuba, according to a press release from the Ministry of Public Health.

The Cuban cases have involved 20 children and 26 adults. “All the patients have evolved favorably and the majority no longer require medical care,” stated the health officials.

The press noted that through Thursday, 57,891 cases of influenza had been reported in 109 countries.
