Warm and humid days

HAVANA TIMES – The days will be warm and very humid, with some probability of rain and showers especially in the afternoons, which will be more probable to the south of the capital.

The winds will remain weak and will blow from the east to the northeast, with speeds between 6 and 12 mph. The relative humidity will be high, which will slightly increase the sensation of heat.

The maximum temperatures will be between 31 and 32° C (88 and 90 F), while the low temperatures will be around 23° C (73 F). The sea surface temperature will be 29° C (84 F).

Meteorological conditions:

A weak anticyclonic dorsal is influencing on the northeast of the Gulf of Mexico and the west of Cuba; While in the upper troposphere a tropical trough will be favoring isolated convection and the occurrence of rainfall over this area. This trough will weaken during the course of Thursday, which may lead to a decrease in convection.

In the Atlantic Ocean, towards the west-southwest of the island of Cape Verde, the circulation associated with a low pressure area has been organizing in the last hours. This system has a high potential to become a tropical depression in the next 12 to 24 hours, when it will also increase its speed to approximately 10-12 mph.
