New Sessions of Cuba-Germany Dialog

HAVANA TIMES — The 11th International Seminar of the Dialogue with Cuba Program will be held in Germany from November 22 to 24, according to a press release from the Catholic magazine Espacio Laical.

This new edition will be entitled “The Catholic Church as a Facilitator of Engagement and Social Life: Cuban and German Experiences.”

The island will be represented by Cardinal Jaime Ortega; the director of Padre Felix Varela Cultural Center, Father Yosvany Carvajal; Annia Martinez Perez, a professor at that center; and Roberto Veiga and Lenier Gonzalez, who are the editor and deputy editor of the journal Espacio Laical.

The initiative, which has been held regularly for years, is coordinated by the Catholic University of Eichstätt and the Archbishop of Havana “in order to deepen understanding and cooperation between the two countries.”
