My Visit to Viñales, Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — One of the places I visited in Cuba was the valley of Viñales in Pinar del Rio province. I walked a lot there, even did a horse ride.
It has a small downtown and a very beautiful and unique countryside with a wonderful romantic light from a late evening sun. A farmer invited me into his home and made me my private cigar.

Out of my 17 days in Cuba, Vinales was my favorite. Such a beautiful place, seems almost surreal the way of life there. If I were to choose anywhere in Cuba to live, it would be Vinales.
Having visited this area on a number of occasions, seeing these photographs brought a lump to my throat.
Please Cuba protect these and the many more beautiful natural areas on YOUR island from money grabbing commercialisation.
