Can I take a portable DVD into Cuba?

Question: I am holidaying in Cuba next year. Will I be allowed to take my portable dvd player in with me?

Answer: According to the regulations listed in the website of Cuban Customs –www.aduana.co.cu (available in both Spanish and English) – tourists are allowed to bring into the country one portable DVD player for personal use, as long as the item accompanies the tourist upon departure from the country.

  • I was hoping to do some day hiking in Cuba and a GPS is nice to have so I do not have to be as careful were I am and especially how far back to my hotel.

    Are they still banned?
