Is there a program yet for this year’s Havana Jazz Festival?

Question: I am a dutch woman who wants to visit Havana during the first 2 weeks of December this year, because I heard of the Havana Jazz Festival.  I have already been in Havana several times. For this festival I have been looking all over the internet for the program, but could not find anything about the artists coming etc…

Can you help me with the program and can you tell me if it is easy to go to the shows, to get ticktets etc…

Thank you very much for your help.  Friendly greetings, Arieet

Answer: The Jazz Plaza festival this year is from Dec. 15-18.  They have a website http://www.festivaljazzplaza.icm.cu/web/inicio.php but at this time it is missing much information including the English language page.  From past experience we can tell you it is still much too early to have a program.  They currently have a long list of the Cuban jazz musicians invited and the foreign invitees are yet to be listed.

Here is the Organizing Committee address for writing directly for more information.  If you write them in English there should be someone there to translate your message.
