HAVANA TIMES, December 19. – Camerata Romeu will appear in concert, directed by maestro Zenaida Romeu, to celebrate the 16th anniversary of its creation. The performance takes place on Saturday, December 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Convento de San Francisco de Asis (Cuba y Amargura, Habana Vieja).
The musical precursors of Zenaidita and maestra Zenaida Romeu go back to the beginning of the century, when her grandfather (Antonio María Roméu) founded one of the pioneer jazz bands of Cuba. Today she honors his name with a “camerana” characterized by good taste.
