Classical Music at the Roldan Theater

HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 7 – Upcoming classical music concerts at the Amadeo Roldan Theater on Calzada and D Streets in Havana’s Vedado District include:

The National Symphonic Orchestra on Sunday October 11 at 5:00 p.m. performing the Cuba premiere of La Vida Secreta (The Secret Life) by Albert Guinovart and conducted by Marc Moncusi (Spain).  The soloist is Antonio Dorta (Cuban clarinet player).

On Sunday October 18 at 11:00 a.m. is a piano concert by Mike del Ferro (Holland).

On Tuesday October 20 at 6:00 p.m. is a piano concert by Sergio Vitier.

On Thursday October 22 at 6:00 p.m. is a concert by violinist Fernando Muñoz and pianist Ana Gabriela Fernandez de Velazco, performing little known pieces by Jose White.

On Sunday October 25 at 5:00 p.m. the National Symphonic Orchestra  performs Anton Brukner’s Symphony No. 9.  Conductor: Felipe Aguirre (Colombia).
