The Clitoris: A Beloved and Unexplored Organ

The clitoris, that great unknown.

HAVANA TIMES — There are plenty of men who fail to meet women’s expectations when the latter ask for oral sex. They make excuses, saying they fear contracting venereal diseases, even though there are many treatments that eliminate vaginal parasites.

The more direct lot openly say they don’t like putting their lips and tongues down there, or do it begrudgingly and poorly. The fact of the matter, however, is that they love getting it done to their members, and ejaculating inside someone’s mouth is also very much to their liking.

This kind of discrimination makes sexual enjoyment unbalanced across the genders. It’s not a question of forcing anyone to do something they don’t want to do, but, nevertheless, I believe that one should be democratic on sexual matters (unless one gets off through sadism or masochism – there are ways of obtaining pleasure that no one even speaks about).

There are those who get in and out quickly without even arousing their partners, perhaps because they believe they’ve done enough or their selfishness won’t let them act differently.

Though it is also true that women experience sex differently, it’s unusual for someone not to be interested in this type of caress. I have a friend who started enjoying it after turning 40, when she divorced her husband, who was always reluctant to do it. She then met someone who had the needed delicacy and skill to satisfy her, without the need to ask him to do so.

Some women are inhibited and feel ashamed to express their desires. Love and spiritual connection are not enough. The body and the mind must be pleased as a whole.

Lovemaking is an art. There are books, like the Kamasutra, that expound on different sexual techniques, positions that enhance enjoyment. It would not be taboo to speak of these issues in the mass media and to have shows that touch on these mechanisms, if we can call them that.

Once, a television program aired a documentary titled El clitoris: ese gran desconocido,“ (The Clitoris the Great Unknown) which explained the mysteries of this organ, revealed its texture and its long, nervous endings. It also captured the experiences of women who masturbate, delving into their levels of arousal and climaxes.

This small, erectile organ is often undervalued (though it’s not truly small). Its tip is not the most commonly struck area, all of its protrusions (including upper and lower lips) take part in the action.

To the discontent of many females here who watched it, the documentary was cut. I suppose TV higher-ups thought the second half was far too shocking for the public.
