HAVANA TIMES – The idea of this short film came to me when I visited El Retiro Park, one of the main parks in Madrid.
The place gives us a bit of peace and quiet which is hard to come by in a city, like Madrid, with so much hustle and bustle. The park welcomes and provides shelter to anyone looking for a place to clear their mind, fall in love, read out in Nature.
Likewise, if you walk around the park, you’ll find places that have a great history, such as the monuments and gardens, my favorite being the Glass Palace. Built in 1887, next to the artificial lake, the Glass Palace is home to many temporary exhibitions.
In my first short film made in exile, I also reveal my solitude to a certain degree, faced with the difficult situation of having to leave your homeland, not knowing how long it might be before you can think about possibly returning.
