HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 30 – Amnesty International responded to the resounding United Nations vote this week calling for an end to the US blockade on Cuba, requesting that the Obama administration stop putting Cuban lives at risk with the time-worn policy.
“The U.S. embargo against Cuba is putting at risk the lives of millions by preventing them from accessing vital medicines and medical technologies,” said Kerrie Howard, deputy director of Amnesty International’s Americas program.
“These sanctions are immoral and should be lifted immediately,” Howard added.
