HAVANA TIMES — Cuba will once again host the Brutal Summer Fest heavy metal rock event from August 15-25 with foreign and local bands participating, reports Prensa Latina.
Among the foreign bands confirmed is Dezaztre Natural (Chile), Severe (Belgium), Montruary, Cowards and S-Core (France) and Splattered Mermaids (Sweden).
The Cuban groups signed up are: Dead Point, Estigma DC, Switch, Metastasys y las veteranas Tendencia, Combat Noise and Mephisto.
The concerts will take place in the cities of Santa Clara (considered Cuba’s metal city), Pinar del Rio, Sancti Spiritus, Camaguey, Holguin, Bayamo and Havana, with several shows at the Maxim Rock theater.
The Winter Brutal Fest took place in February in Cuba and the success of the event made possible a repeat this summer, and the festival will now continue to take place twice a year.
