HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 11 – Cuba’s popular salsa band Charanga Habanera begins a 45-day tour of the United States on December 17 featuring nine concerts in Florida, announced David Calzado, its director. “Our aim is to reopen that country’s doors to Cuban popular dance music,” affirmed Calzado, whose group has recorded 15 records since its foundation in 1988, reported IPS.
