Colombian Takes Vuelta a Cuba Stage 2

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 11 — Jaime Castañeda of Colombia raced to victory in Stage 2 of the Vuelta a Cuba cycling event on Wednesday clocking 2:41.02 hours for the 111 kilometer trek from Guantanamo to Santiago de Cuba.  Wilmen Bravo of Venezuela and Ryan Roth of Canada finished second and third.

In the 13 stage event, by teams, the Cuban, Venezuelan and Colombian teams remain locked in a first place tie at 19:14.36.

With his win, Castañeda is the overall individual leader with 6:24.39 followed by Wilmen Bravo (Mérida, Venezuela) 6 seconds back and Raúl Granjel (Cuba) at 7 seconds back.
