HAVANA TIMES, April 24 — Cuba and Honduras are negotiating a new date for the signing of a maritime delimitation agreement between the two countries, it was revealed on Sunday after statements by the undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Honduras, Mireya Aguero, appeared in the Honduran daily El Heraldo.
“Tentatively, it was expected to be signed (this) week, but that will depend on the agendas of the two foreign ministers, who are making adjustments for signing it at the time of their choice,” said Aguero.
The scope of the agreement, which would establish the boundaries of each country in the Atlantic Ocean, has not been divulged in detail, but it is being reported that this accord is based on a previous document that failed to be adopted in 2007.
