Cuba and Russia sign oil agreements

HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 4 – Russia’s state-run Zarubezhneft Company will carry out oil exploitation operations in four blocks in Cuba during the next 25 years, according to a contract signed by the governments of both nations, reported IPS on Tuesday. This is the first agreement of its kind established since the disappearance of the Soviet Union in 1991.
