Cuba Artists-Musicians in Haiti

HAVANA TIMES, March 6 – Cuba sent to Haiti a brigade of 50 visual arts, theatre and music representatives with the aim of mitigating the suffering of the victims of the quake that devastated that Caribbean nation last Jan. 12, reported IPS.

The delegation is headed by painter Alexis Leyva (Kcho), who already headed a similar initiative in 2008 after the passage of the hurricanes through his native Isle of Youth, south of the Cuban capital.
