Cuba Criticizes UN Human Rights Council

HAVANA TIMES — Cuba’s ambassador to international organizations based in Geneva, Anayansi Rodriguez, noted the loss of credibility and legitimacy of the Human Rights Council, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

Speaking at the twenty-second session of the UN body, the diplomat said the spirit of respect and cooperation that many people hoped for at its inception seven years ago remains a pending task.

According to Rodriguez, the council has become a new inquisition tribunal for condemning the South justifying, promoting and legitimizing military interventions in the Third World.
