Cuba: Development Yes, Weapons No

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 10 — Cuba proposed that the money spent on nuclear weapons be used in economic and social development through a fund managed by the United Nations, in statements by its acting representative, Rodolfo Benítez, during the commemoration of the Day against Nuclear Tests. The island’s authorities are promoting an international campaign to avoid the breakout of a nuclear war between the United States, Iran and Israel, reported IPS.
