HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 4 – The Cuban Meteorological Institute stated early Friday that it would no longer monitor what was tropical storm Erika and which has dropped to a dissipating tropical depression zone.
In its sixth report on Erika, the Institute said the weaker storm now has barely 30 mph winds and is heading at 7 mph in a northwest direction, which will take it far from Cuba and moving towards the Bahamas where it is not expected to pose a threat.
