HAVANA TIMES, May 4 — After two days of discussions and exchanges, today concludes the Thirteenth Inter-Parliamentary Meeting between Cuba and Mexico, whose outcome will be compiled in a final statement, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The president of the Mexican Senate, Jose Gonzalez, said that this type of event is intended to establish common working agendas in which topics of interest to both countries are delineated.
The series of meetings began on Thursday with discussions around topics such as ever-improving relations of cooperation and friendship, energy resources and the “updating” of the island’s economic system.
This exchange is taking place less than a month after the official visit to the island by Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
