HAVANA TIMES, August 31 — The month comes to a close on Tuesday with three tropical cyclones simultaneously churning in the Atlantic. The latest, Fiona, is expected to take a similar path as Hurricane Earl making it of little threat to Cuba but dangerous for island countries in the eastern Caribbean.
Fiona became a tropical storm on Monday and follows Danielle, now weakened in the mid-Atlantic and Earl, a major hurricane that could hit the Carolinas o further north on the US east coast by Thursday or Friday.
