Cuba Opens 4th Field Hospital in Haiti

HAVANA TIMES, Jan. 28 – Hundreds of persons began being treated starting Thursday morning in the fourth field hospital installed by the Cuban medical brigade in Haiti, this one in Croix des Bouquets, 10 miles from the center of Port-au-Prince, where Cuban doctors and staff are working together with Haitian students from the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), reported IPS.

Cuba’s medical assistance program in Haiti dates back for more than a decade and hundreds of Haitians have graduated from ELAM.
