Cuba Opens New Archaeological Research Area

HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 9 – Cuba will train professionals in archaeology in a new research area opened at Los Buchillones Archaeological Site in Ciego de Avila, in the island’s central region, reported IPS. The remains of a large village of pre-Columbian indigenous people were found in that region, an unprecedented find in the Caribbean.
