HAVANA TIMES — The 16th edition of the Fiart International Crafts Fair is set for December 7 to 23 at the customary annual site of Havana’s Pabexpo Fairgrounds.
According to the Prensa Latina news agency, the event will be attended by artisans from 19 nations as it aims to strengthen exchanges between Latin American countries, especially those that make up the left-leaning Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA).
On this occasion the fair is being dedicated to the Cuban province of Ciego de Avila, whose artisans will present their finest works. Highlighted will be the Pauyet goldsmiths, who will exhibit jewelry crafted from spoons, forks, knives and silverware.
