Cuban Vaulter Yarisley Silva Wins gold in England

HAVANA TIMES – The Cuban pole-vaulter Sunday Yarisley Silva won the Grand Prix in Birmingham, England, during the seventh stage of the Diamond League athletics competition, reported Prensa Latina.

The London 2012 Olympic silver medalist, who owns the best mark of the season with 4.90 meters, this time vaulted 4.73m, ahead of the current world champion, Brazil’s Fabiana Murer.

In the third position of the event was American Jennifer Suhr, London Olympic monarch, who vaulted 4.53 this time.
