Danny Rivera to Join Juanes in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 10 – Puerto Rican pop artist Danny Rivera is the latest musician to sign on to Juanes “Peace Without Borders” concert set for September 20th at Havana’s Plaza of the Revolution.

Rivera, who has performed several times in Cuba, adds to Grammy winner Olga Tañon and other Puerto Ricans at an event that promises to bring out hundreds of thousands of Cubans.

Juanes has received anonymous death threats from violence-prone Cuban exiles in Miami who oppose any cultural exchange or contacts with Cuba.

Cuban folk singer Silvio Rodriguez, folk-rock artist Carlos Varela and the popular Van Van salsa group will also perform at what promises to be a marathon concert.

“I’m honored and thrilled to take part in this event,” said Rivera, reported examiner.com
