DR and Cuba to Create a Digital Encyclopedia

HAVANA TIMES — The University of Havana and the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo are planning to create a digital historical encyclopedia on the political, economic and social aspects of the peoples of the Americas.

According to a Prensa Latina news agency report, during a meeting held in the capital of the Dominican Republic, officials from both schools of higher education agreed on the preliminary steps of the project.

The hosting group was led by the deputy administrative rector, Emma Polanco, accompanied by engineers and computer technicians; while the Cubans were led by Miguel Cabrib, of the Univeristy of Havana’s Master’s Level Computer Science Program, along with three other professors.
