HAVANA TIMES — Bolivian president Evo Morales left Havana on Monday en route to New York City, where he will participate in debates at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly.
According to the Prensa Latina news agency, President Raul Castro bid farewell to his Bolivian counterpart, who had carried out an unannounced working visit on the island. During that stay, the two leaders exchanged views on the state of bilateral relations, though the contents of their conversations were not made public.
It is also unknown if the South American leader met with Fidel Castro, who hasn’t been seen in public since March 28, when he met with Pope Benedict XVI.
The Bolivian president made his last visit to the island in September of last year, at the same time as a visit by Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.
