Ex prisoners ask EU to maintain Common Position

HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 15 — Four of the ex Cuban political prisoners asked the European Union (EU) to maintain the Common Position toward Cuba, a policy established in 1996 and that conditions relations with the island on political reforms.  In a rally organized by the right-wing European Popular Party, the four dissidents, who were freed thanks to the mediation of Spain and the Catholic Church, urged keeping the pressure on the government of the Caribbean island nation until all opposition members have been released, reported IPS.
