Fire Destroys Forests in Cuban Province

HAVANA TIMES, March 31 – A forest fire destroyed some 500 hectares of forests and pine tree plantations in Minas de Matahambre, in the western province of Pinar del Río, reported IPS. The fire was fueled by the high temperatures of recent days and winds of up to 35 km per hour.
