Five Die in Road Accident in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — Five dead and over 30 people injured was the toll of a traffic accident this past Sunday in the town of Jatibonico, in Sancti Spiritus Province, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

During the incident, a vehicle with five people aboard crashed into a truck carrying about 40 passengers. The Cuban authorities are still investigating the causes of the incident.

According to the online newspaper Escambray, those injured in the collision were taken to hospitals and clinics in the city of Sancti Spiritus, where several people were admitted – two in critical condition and one in serious condition.
