Very hot and little rain

HAVANA TIMES – The intense heat will continue during the next week, due to the high pressures of the Atlantic on much of Cuba and adjacent seas. This will impose a fairly weak wind flow from the east and northeast that will increase the heat sensation during the day and at night.

We will have very hot days, with very little rain except Sunday and Monday, when showers and scattered rains will take place in the West, encouraged by very favorable weather conditions of humidity and instability. The winds will be variable and weak, so there will be little waves in general near the coast.

Relative humidity will be hovering in the 80-95% range in the morning, and 50-70% by the middle of the day. The high temperatures will be at 32 and 33° C (90 and 91 F), and the lows at 24 and 25° C (75 and 77 F). The sea surface temperature will be 29° C (84 F).

Over the North Atlantic, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea, no tropical cyclone development is expected during the next 5 days.
