Cool Days with Isolated Showers
By Yanet Diaz
HAVANA TIMES – The days will be mostly clear, with some clouds in the afternoons and isolated showers. The winds will be from the north and the northeast, with speeds between 15 and 25 km/h, with higher gusts. The maximum temperatures will be between 26 and 28° C (79 and 82 F), while the lows will average 22° C (72 F). The sea surface temperature will be 27° C (81 F).
Meteorological conditions:
A low of 1007 millibars is centered south of Jamaica, close to 16° N with 78° W. This presents bands of clouds and associated rains that will be affecting the eastern region of Cuba in the coming days. Meanwhile in the west, stable atmospheric conditions persist on the surface, with mostly clear skies, northern winds and slightly cool temperatures. The next cold front will be arriving to the northwest coast of Cuba by Sunday.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the next 3 days over the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.
