HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 10 — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez visited his mentor, Cuba’s Fidel Castro, on Tuesday afternoon in Havana. They discussed the international arena as well as the example of their countries’ relations, noted the official press.
Chavez spent most of Monday with President Raul Castro and other officials celebrating the tenth anniversary of the wide-ranging cooperation accords between Venezuela and Cuba.
The South American nation is Cuba’s closest political and economic ally.
The two countries are now working on a new agreement to further strengthen the relationship over the period 2010-2020, cubadebate.cu.
