HAVANA TIMES, Sept. 30 – The presence of high levels of lead in blood affects the behaviour and learning of Cuban students in primary education, according to a research carried out among children from the municipality of Centro Habana, in the Cuban capital.
The study, published in the Revista Cuabana de Higiene y Epidemiología medical journal, recalled that the exposition to that chemical element is related to factors such as not washing one’s hands before eating, playing with lead toys, placing toys in the mouth and eating, reported IPS.
