Light Show to Welcome Pope to Havana

HAVANA TIMES, March 26 — A spectacle of lights and colors in the Havana Cathedral will add to the welcome for Pope Benedict XVI, said the Office of the Historian of the City.

The effort will be coordinated by the Italian-French artist Gaspare Di Caro, and consists of projecting an attractive design of image and lights on the façade of the Catholic Church in Havana, according to the Prensa Latina news agency.

The show is being referred to as Arte Luz (Light Art), and will animate the cathedral during the night from Sunday until Tuesday morning in order to “create a unique atmosphere to accompany the Pope’s stay.”
