HAVANA TIMES — The signing of a maritime delimitation agreement between Cuba and Honduras, which was to have occurred this past April 10, has been delayed for several additional weeks by the Cuban government, reported the Honduran daily El Heraldo on Monday.
“We have received correspondence from Cuba that it is not holding up on the signing, but is only pushing back the date, though it remains a priority for both countries,” said Arturo Corrales, the Honduran secretary of Foreign Affairs.
According to the newspaper, the division between the two nations over the Atlantic would not be based on a straight line but would be in the shape of a kind of “hat,” though it is unknown which of the two nations will be favored such a partition.
