Modern Drilling Simulator in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Dec 29 — Cuban and foreign experts set up a new oil drilling simulator for the training of technicians in Matanzas Province, reported the Cuban media yesterday.

The new equipment offers broader and more thorough preparation of students seeking certification to work in the hydrocarbon industry.

According to sources, the country has invested considerable financial resources and materials in the installation and commissioning of the equipment, though the exact sum was not disclosed.

The incorporation of the simulator is part of the government’s policies and strategies aimed at improving Cuba’s oil drilling capacity.
