Non-valid Votes Up in Cuba Election

HAVANA TIMES, April 27 – The percentage of blank or annulled ballots increased from 7.01 per cent in the 2007 partial elections to 8.91 per cent in the elections of last April 25, representing more than 731,000 persons, according to data by the National Electoral Commission (CEN). The official instance reported that the turnout for the elections was 94.69 per cent of the persons registered to vote, reported IPS.
