OAS Chief Wants Cuba Included

HAVANA TIMES, April 17 – Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) José Miguel Insulza announced in statements to the press Friday in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, that he would propose next month to annul the 1962 resolution that suspended Cuba’s membership in that organization, reported IPS.

Cuba has to date not been overjoyed by the suggestion. It’s position has been that the OAS is a spent organization due to its decades of subservience to the Unites States and its interests.
