Obama Wins US Presidency

HAVANA TIMES, Nov.5.- Most of the world sighed with relief Wednesday with the news that Barack Obama had won the US presidential elections with a 52-46 percent majority. With over 95 percent of the votes counted nationally, the Democrats were leading the Republicans in the House of Representatives races with 256 to 177 seats and had increased a razor thin majority in the Senate to 55-44.
