Pablo Milanés to Tour Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 30 — Popular Cuban singer/songwriter Pablo Milanes will make his first tour of the island in 22 years starting on November 6-16 in Eastern Cuba.  Milanes will offer open air concerts in plazas, said Natacha Garcia of the Cuban Music Institute, reported cubadebate.cu.

Milanes concerts begin in Guantanamo on November 6, Santiago de Cuba on the 8th, Bayamo, his home town, on the 10th, Holguin the 12th, Las Tunas the 14th and Camaguey on the 16th.

Milanes has recorded nearly 40 records and participated in numerous collective efforts. His most recent recording was in May 2008 titled Más Allá de todo with Chucho Valdés accompanying on piano, notes cubadebate.cu.
