Paco de Lucia in Cuba after 26 years

HAVANA TIMES – The Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia will offer a concert Wednesday night at the Karl Marx Theater in this capital, as part of the Fifth Leo Brouwer Chamber Music Festival , after 26 years of having played in Cuba.

De Lucia came to the island on Monday with his entire team, a dozen musicians comprising his flamenco ensemble including Cuban bassist Alain Pérez and Sevillian dancer Farruquito, said Leo Brower, director of the event.

According to Prensa Latina, the noted Spanish musician was listed as a “great guest” at this year’s festival, where he will receive the international CUBADISCO 2013 award.
