Pastors for Peace Returns to the USA

HAVANA TIMES — The members of the 23rd Pastors for Peace Caravan will return to the US today after having spent 10 days in Cuba, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The group donated 100 tons of humanitarian assistance in the form of materials such as wheelchairs, medicines, first-aid kits, school supplies and sports equipment that was collected after traveling to more than a hundred US and Canadian cities.

During their stay on the island, the caravan members received the highest distinction granted by the Jose Marti Cultural Society for the “promotion and defense of the foundations of the Cuban nation.” In addition to Havana, the caravan members also visited the provinces of Matanzas and Villa Clara.
