HAVANA TIMES — Félix González Viego, the relatively young president of Cuba’s small farmers organization (ANAP), died this week at the age of 52.
He passed on due to a pulmonary thromboembolism and was buried on Wednesday in his home town of Encrucijada, Villa Clara.
González substituted Orlando Lugo as ANAP leader in September 2012, reported Cafe Fuerte.
Before being appointed by the Communist Party to the new post, González, an economist, was a politician and administrator in Villa Clara.
