Raul Castro Arrives in Caracas for Maduro’s Inauguración

HAVANA TIMES — Cuban President Raul Castro arrived in Caracas, Venezuela on Friday morning to attend today’s inaguration of president-elect Nicolas Maduro.

The Cuban delegation also includes Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

Several other heads of State arrived earlier on Friday, these included Dilma Rousseff (Brazil); Cristina Fernández (Argentina); José Mujica (Uruguay); Evo Morales (Bolivia); Mahmud Ahmadinejad (Iran), and Danilo Medina (Dominican Republic).

The Venezuelan National Electoral Council is conducting a full audit of the voting in the close election held on Sunday where  Nicolas Maduro defeated opposition candidate Henrique Capriles by less than two percentage points.
